I’m excited to be a stop on the Peekboo Fall Pattern Tour. It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Peekaboo Patterns, since I feel that they bring the best parts of traditional patterns together with the best of sewing tutorials from the web. I’m also a Peekboo affiliate, so the purchasing through these links helps support Sewistry, at no cost to you!
Each pattern has pattern pieces that are tested, but also has a step by step photographed tutorial to go along with the pattern.
I personally find the photos so much easier to follow than the sketches that are included in traditional patterns. Also, the sizing is much more forgiving– with Peekaboo Patterns, you get sizes from baby to tween in one pattern.
I was lucky enough to try out the Audrey Cross Over Party Dress for this tour. You can see that I made a few changes– I omitted the bias tape on the armholes and necklines to make this an even quicker sew. I also lengthened the dress, and I’m crossing my fingers that she’ll be able to wear it at her birthday in a few months. Don’t forget to check out my Paradise Bay Tankini Review and my Vivienne Pattern Remix.
Finally, since this is a frugal sewing site, I have to mention that Amy patterns are always on sale! She has one pattern for half off on Thursdays, but she also always offers package discounts. Head on over to Peekaboo and get sewing!
